Here's some information on the model paints I've used.

Lifecolor	An Italian concern that produce matt and gloss acrylic paints that cover a wide range of colours for aircraft and a somewhat smaller range for vehicle, uniforms and ships. Some are available in sets of six paints covering a specific topic, such as British armour in North Africa or Italian infantry. I use them for my Regia Aeronautica aircraft and some of my Regio Esercito vehicles.	⚬ Little smell. ⚬ Dilutes with water. ⚬ Drys quickly. ⚬ Bottles don't dry out. ⚬ Extensive range of of colours within extensive ranges.	⚬ Not widely available.	⚬ List of individual colours ⚬ List of sets ⚬ Lifecolor website.
Xtracrylix	A range of gloss acrylic paints from Hannants, following on from their successful Xtracolor enamel range. The range covers British, American and German aircraft colours and a range of paints for AFVs. It took me a little while to appreciate these paints but now I use them for all my British and German WWII aircraft.	⚬ Little smell. ⚬ Dilutes with water. ⚬ Drys quickly. ⚬ Bottles don't dry out. ⚬ Extensive range of of colours within the ranges. ⚬ Being gloss the decals are easily arranged	⚬ Drys quickly, sometimes on the brush. ⚬ Lack of other countries colours, such as Japan, USSR etc. ⚬ Not widely available.	⚬ List of individual colours ⚬ Hannants home page
Revell Aqua Color	A range of Gloss, Metallic, Matt & Silk Matt acrylic paints.	⚬ Little smell. ⚬ Dilutes with water. ⚬ Drys quickly. ⚬ Tubs don't dry out.	Being German range, it's not always easy to equate the colours to your requirements,even when given the RAL number.	⚬ List of individual colours ⚬ Revell Aqua Color home page
Tamiya	A range of Gloss, Metallic, Matt & Semi-gloss acrylic paints.	⚬ Widely available	⚬ Strong smell ⚬ Pots dry out quickly	⚬ List of individual colours ⚬ Tamiya USA home page
